Pastors, please be a good witness!

Once heard someone said, "we are so good in being a Christian, we forget how to be a human." So true...

Very often, we are so busy in being a pastor, we forget about the simplicity of being a creature that was created in the image of God.

We lost our identity of being a child to the Father, being a person who obeys, depends and trust Him.

We neglect the importance of being a follower of Christ, being a person who loves, forgives and sacrifices for others.

We abuse our body, damaging the temple of the Holy Spirit, giving a false witness of who God truly is, identifying ourselves with the world in a religious way.

To all pastors, please be a human who bears true witnesses for God.

Lord have mercy on us!

Discipline, a deliberate conscious effort in maintaining a constant practise.

Maturity doesn't means to complicate things, rather to maintain purity and simplicity.

Reminder to myself

It is not about winning the argument,
It is about speaking the truth, and doing what is right.
I cannot determine how the listeners would respond and react,
it is entirely up to them to decide.
In speaking the truth and doing what is right,
I might lose the argument,
that's OK.
I might even lose my own life,
and that's OK too.
Because I know the ultimate victory has been won,
I know, I'm already living in eternity.

Dysfunctional man, dysfunctional church

There is a dysfunctional church,
because there are dysfunctional families in the church.
There are dysfunctional families,
because there are dysfunctional marriages in families.
There are dysfunctional marriages,
because there are dysfunctional husbands and wives in marriages.
There are dysfunctional husbands and wives,
because there are dysfunctional men and women.
There are dysfunctional men and women,
because men and women disobeyed God, going about doing whatever pleases themselves, neglects the responsibilities that God has given them.

Husbands are given the responsibilities of leadership in a marriage, not only in physical and material, but more importantly in spiritual leadership. Wives are given the responsibilities to support and submit to the leadership of the husband.

Sadly, men and women have not been fulfulling thier responsibilities. Just as Adam did not took on the leadership in seeking God, allowing his wife, Eve, to take on that responsibility. Desire to be like God, Eve, persuaded by the devil, ate the forbidden fruit, then in turn, she persuaded her husband, Adam to do the same, thus both disobeyed God.

A dysfunctional man resulted a dysfunctional woman, when both became dysfunctional husband and wife, they formed a dysfunctional marriage, gave birth to dysfunctional family, established a dysfunctinal church.

Husbands, please be responsible in taking leadership in regards to spiritual matters of your marriage and family! When you don't, your wife would, not because she will, but because there's a natural yearning and desire towards spiritual matters in everyone of us, that is, to seek God. When your wife does, and you as husband decides to follow her, rather than leading her in seeking God, your marriage and family turn into "DYSFUNCTIONAL".

Unity base on economic benefits?

Part article from
PM: Cash in on our diversity

PARIS: Malaysia can leverage on its diversity to bring economic benefits to the people, said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

He said the 1Malaysia concept should be seen not only from the cultural and social contexts but also from the point of strategic economic value.

Najib drew attention to the country’s multi-racial, multi-cultural and multi-religious population which bore elements of Asian civilisations.

He said Malaysia could, for instance, turn these into strategic advantages to facilitate its relations with countries like China, India, the Malay world and the Middle East.

“Let’s say if China were to make a decision to buy palm oil from Malaysia, it’s the people who will benefit most, including smallholders and Felda settlers,” he told more than 200 Malaysian students during a dialogue here on Sunday.

With such sayings from the PM of Malaysia, I think the "1Malaysia" concept is making a very dangerous turn towards a unity based upon wealth. This needs to be thought through seriously, for the motivation and intention of unity would ended up based on economical benefits. This, I would say, is a wrong motives for being united.

What message are we giving to the people, to the younger generation? If I am not benefiting from you, then I'm not going to "unite" together with you? If he is of no value in benefiting me in anyway, then I have nothing to do with him?

Such corrupted concept!!! It corrupts the true value and meaning of unity!!!

If such is the concept of 1Malaysia, I don't want to be a part of it. I pray that Malaysia would not be led into such corrupted state of unity.

My Past 30 Years On Earth - Part 1

Beginning 10 years, playfully blur... no idea what I did in my first 10 years on earth.

Mid 10 years, full of schools (2 primary, 3 secondary and 1 college), full of homeworks and exams. Full of friends, which I don't keep in touch very often now.

Last 10 years, full of changes (from company to company, from study to work, then to study and then back to work). Full of church, cell group, conference, camp and christianity, which I was not very fruitful as a Christian.

What on earth was I doing for the past 30 years?

Let me go repent, pray for forgiveness and pray for a purposeful and meaningful 30 years to come (If I live that long). Will be back to reflect on that question.
